Glossary
The Limited vocabulary Spellseer uses — how cards are tagged, how synergies are described, and what the studying terms mean. It applies to every set in the app.
Card Roles
Every analyzed card is tagged with the jobs it does in a Limited deck. A card can play several roles at once.
Enabler & Payoff
The engine language of Limited: enablers set up a condition, payoffs reward you for it. A deck full of payoffs with no enablers doesn't function — and vice versa.
Archetypes
Modern sets are built around ready-made Limited decks, usually one per color pair. These are the words Spellseer uses to talk about them.
Color-pair names
The community names two-color pairs after the Ravnica guilds, and three-color combos after the Alara shards and Tarkir wedges.
Synergies
Card pairs are linked with a synergy type explaining how they work together, plus a strength rating.
Synergy strength
Each synergy is rated 1–3 pips for how much the pairing matters in practice.
Studying
Spellseer uses spaced repetition (the FSRS scheduler, as in Anki): you grade how well you knew each card, and the app decides when to show it again — ideally just before you'd forget.
Trainers
Beyond flashcards, each trainer drills one Limited skill.
